📄 Short Information

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released Centralised Employment Notification (CEN) No. 09/2025 for recruitment to Various Posts in Level-1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix in Indian Railways. A total of 21,997 vacancies have been notified.

Eligible candidates can apply online from 31 January 2026 to 02 March 2026 through the official RRB websites only. Candidates are strongly advised to read the complete notification carefully to understand eligibility criteria, age limit, application fee, selection process, medical standards and all other important instructions before applying.

🎓 Educational Qualification

Candidates must have:

• 10th Pass (Matriculation) from a recognized board
  OR

• ITI Certificate from a recognized institute

⚠️ Candidates awaiting final results are NOT eligible to apply.

💵 Salary / Pay Scale

• Pay Level: Level-1 (7th CPC)

• Initial Pay: ₹18,000/- per month

🧪 Selection Process

The selection process includes:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

3. Document Verification (DV)

4. Medical Examination

🔹 Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in CBT.

🏃 Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

👨 Male Candidates

• Lift & carry 35 kg weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes

• Run 1000 meters in 4 minutes 15 seconds

• One chance only

👩 Female Candidates

• Lift & carry 20 kg weight for 100 meters in 2 minutes

• Run 1000 meters in 5 minutes 40 seconds

• One chance only

Reservation and age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS, PwBD, ExSM and CCAA categories shall be applicable as per rules mentioned in this CEN.

• Single or multi-stage Computer Based Test (CBT)

• Shortlisting for PET at 3 times the vacancies

• DV & Medical Examination at 1:1 ratio of vacancies
